Our boys’ lacrosse team has certainly had an eventful season with a 7-5  record. Riddled with injuries and tough opponents, the Falcon’s have been fighting very hard. This season GC beat PVI — #2 seed while GC is #5–  10-8 which was a strong win for us and now we enter the playoffs awaiting an away game against St. John’s in the quarterfinals. Sophomore Brian Tregoning led the team in assists and attack. Tregoning’s remarks on the season, “ We haven’t won an away game all season, and this is going to be a tough game. In order to win we need to start the game strong and play smart the whole game. We’ve had a difficult time this season dealing with injuries, but we need to come together for the last week of the season.” Senior Jake Cates also said, “To be successful we need to play together, finish our shots, and keep the intensity up the entire game.” Although this game might be challenging, our Falcons can come together and play to the best of their abilities. If you have the means to, come out and support our falcons on Tuesday! Location and time of the game will be posted on the Good Counsel website under athletics. “We have had some impressive wins as well as some disappointing losses, but all that matters now is that we come out strong for playoffs,” says Cates. The WCAC Boys Lacrosse Quarterfinal will not be a game you want to miss. Go Falcons!
