Jacob’s Fantasy Football Starts and Sits – Week 6

Welcome to Jacob’s Fantasy Football Starts and Sits! Sorry it took me until week 6, but now I’m here to help ensure that you win your fantasy leagues this season.

Let’s start off with the Players/Teams I think you should start this week and why I believe so:

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins vs Dolphins

Reasoning:

  • Miami’s defense ranks at 28th in the league in Passing Yards Allowed per Game so far this season.
  • Cousins has been amazing this season, currently ranked 9th in Passing Yards.
  • Cousins has WR Justin Jefferson who has been unstoppable this season, ranking first in Receiving Yards.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford vs Panthers

Reasoning:

  • The Panthers just fired their Defensive Coordinator, so their defense will be vulnerable.
  • Stafford has WR Cooper Kupp, who is right behind Jefferson ranked 2nd in Receiving Yards this season.

49ers RB Jeff Wilson vs Falcons

Reasoning:

  • He is the starting RB1 with the injury to previous RB1 Elijah Mitchell.
  • Any running back can thrive in HC Kyle Shanahan’s offense and run schemes.
  • San Francisco ranks 8th in Rushing Yards per game this season.
  • Wilson is coming off of a huge 120 Yards performance last week.

Cardinals WR Hollywood brown vs Seahawks

Reasoning:

  • Seattle’s defense ranks 26th in Passing Yards allowed per game this season.
  • Brown has had a great stretch of games as of late—78 yards and a TD, 88 yards and a TD, and 140 yards.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson vs Browns

Reasoning:

  • With the unfortunate injury to RB Damien Harris, Stevenson looks to be the bellcow RB for the Patriots this week.
  • Stevenson is coming off of a crazy game last week vs Detroit, rushing for 161 yards.
  • Cleveland ranks 28th in Rushing Yards Allowed per Game this season.

Now, let’s go through what Players/Teams I believe you should sit this week:

Saints RB Alvin Kamara vs Bengals

Reasoning:

  • Cincinnati ranks 7th in the league for Rushing Yards Allowed per Game this season.

Bills RB Devin Singletary vs Chiefs

Reasoning:

  • Kansas City ranks 3rd in the league for Rushing Yards Allowed per Game this season.
  • Buffalo QB Josh Allen ranks first in the league in Passing Yards this season, so Singletary will barely be in the offensive gameplan.

Jaguars RB James Robinson vs Colts

Reasoning:

  • Indianapolis ranks 4th in the league for Rushing Yards Allowed per Game this season.
  • Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. is coming off a great game of 114 total yards, so expect him to take carries away from Robinson.

Miami Dolphins Defense vs Minnesota Vikings

Reasoning:

  • Miami is ranked 29th in the league for Points Allowed per Game.
  • Miami is ranked 28th in the league for Passing Yards Allowed per Game.

Pittsburgh Steelers Defense vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Reasoning:

  • Tampa Bay is ranked 3rd in the league for Passing Yards per Game this season.
  • Pittsburgh is ranked 27th in the league for Points Allowed per Game this season.
  • Pittsburgh is ranked 30th in the league for Passing Yards Allowed per Game this season.
