The potential for unlimited flavors in a Thanksgiving meal are boundless.

Though Thanksgiving is all about family and connecting for most people, another important aspect of enjoying this momentous holiday is the food prepared for families to feast and have a genuine connection with their peers.

Now let’s be honest and say some Thanksgiving foods (such as turkey) aren’t the best to have solely on your plate by themselves; they need something more that can dazzle up the plate with wonderful flavors to get the best of both worlds and not just have a Thanksgiving but a happy one.

Did you know you can add new flavors to plates by simply combining them with a second item? It’s crazy, but it can completely improve a meal you found bland!

There are many different combinations of items that go wonderfully together! For example:

  • Stuffing & Mac and Cheese – These two side dishes of bits and cheese make an excellent main dish for your tastebuds!
  • Turkey & Mashed Potatoes – A pair of two iconic items with smooth and rough textures make up a throwback of flavor to your plate!
  • Chili & Cornbread – This power duo of heat and smoothness creates a blast of flavors when eaten together!
  • Lasagna & Chicken – It might sound weird, but these two items of layers & spice give your mouth much to work with and explore; the combination of Lasagna and chicken completely changes the game, giving your mouth a new set of tastes to deal with!

Despite these being only a few examples of combinations that have been found to be tasty and more common than others, most Thanksgiving food can taste great when sharing space on your fork with other food items. If you want to combine stuffing with any other food, it will most likely taste great. Despite being incredible on their own, these foods always have a partner in crime that will further bring out the true flavors of each dish than if it had been eaten alone. Create your own combinations. Mix up what you get and try to bring some new flavors to the game!
