Senior Spotlight #13: Ruth Fangmeyer

Meet Ruth: member of the Choir, baker, reader, and video gamer. She is a Scorpio and plans to study either engineering or architecture in college. Here is our senior spotlight interview with her!

What’s your advice for freshmen?

“Get everything done as soon as you can; it’s just easier.”

If you could be any animal, what would it be?

“Something that flies…or just a grizzly bear because they are good at everything. They’re terrifying: you can’t outrun them, you can’t outswim them, you can’t outclimb them. You just die.”

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

“Something I could use in my daily life-probably flight. Or the ability to summon perfectly cooked meals whenever I feel like it. Think about how much money you’d save.”

What is your favorite book?

“A manga series called Vinland Saga [by Yukimura Makoto]” or “The Life of Pi [by Yann Martel]”

What is your favorite GC tradition?

“Battle of the Classes is always great. If they make Anything But a Backpack Day more traditional, definitely that…Just Spirit Week; I like the Spring Fling.”

What was your favorite part of virtual school?

“Nothing…But just the fact that my schedule felt so much more open.”

What Senior Superlative do you think you should get?

“They voted me for the friendly one, so that works for me. Let the people decide!”
