The 2022 Brother Bob Arrowsmith ’63 Distinguished Alumnus Award Recipient
The Brother Bob Arrowsmith ’63 Distinguished Alumnus award recognizes someone who demonstrates a commitment to faith, service, and Good Counsel; who has achieved professional success; and who has made significant contributions to society through leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy.
Richard “Hank” Deily ’72 is vice president and corporate controller at Argan, a holding company that acquired and now operates four wholly owne subsidiaries: Gemma Power Systems, The Roberts Company, Atlantic Projects Company, and SMC Infrastructure Solutions. A graduate of Georgetown University, he joined the company in 2007 and was elevated to vice president in 2015.
Hank and his wife, Colleen, are the proud parents of three Good Counsel graduates: Katie ’03, Lara ’05, and Caren ’10. he remains Good Counsel’s longest serving board member, with 18 years of service to the school, including four years as board chair. Hank is credited with being the financial visionary behind the school’s move to the Olney campus. He also served on the campaign committee to build the school’s Performing Arts Center.
