Meet Annecamie Augustin- part of the Majorettes and the GC Theatre Company! She is planning to attend [Hofstra University] majoring in [Finance]. Here is our senior spotlight interview with her!

What’s your favorite extracurricular activity?

My favorite extracurricular is majorettes! Bonding with my team and getting to express myself in dance is a win-win!

What is your advice for freshmen? 

My advice for freshmen is to take it one day at a time. School, sports and social life get so overwhelming at times. However, there is at least one person that cares about your well being: you. Take a break when needed, distance yourself if needed, breathe if needed. you matter the most. 

What’s your favorite class and teacher?

My favorite class of all time at GC is Period 3 Playwriting with Ms. P! I had the chance to appreciate the writing side of theater, and make/read plays I’d never imagined!

What’s your favorite GC lunch food?

My favorite lunch is the pesto paninis, I could eat three in one go. 

What is your favorite GC tradition?

My favorite tradition is Spring Fling Week during the third quarter, you really see how much the administration cares for the students. It’s such a needed break after the third quarter.

What’s one thing you wish you could change or have done differently?

One thing I wish I’ve done differently is really took the time to get to know my class. I didn’t really branch out until late last year, I relied on my classes to get to know someone. 

What GC senior do you want on your side of the apocalypse?

Someone I want on my side during an apocalypse is Mo! I feel like we can use our capabilities to build a fort and stay safe!
