Senior Spotlight #1: Emma Filliben
Meet Emma, member of the National Art Honors Society. She is a Virgo who is attending University of Maryland College Park next year. Here’s our senior spotlight interview with her!
What’s your favorite extracurricular activity?
“Art is my favorite because you get to do a lot of projects and paint a mural, which is all very fun!”
What’s your advice to freshmen?
“My advice to freshmen is once you enter high school, more or less, nobody’s going to really know you. So, this is your time to change as a person. [You can] become more confident and social. Once you feel more comfortable, it will be easier to adjust in high school.”
What is your favorite class and teacher?
“I like art class because it’s chill. I also like study hall, if that’s even a class. I like literature class too. [My favorite teachers are] Mr. Curtin, Ms. Sullie, and Ms. Menzel.”
What’s your favorite GC lunch food?
Mac n’ Cheese
What is your favorite trend from the last four years?
“I’m not good at following up with trends. But, I enjoyed the Zoolander trend.”
What’s one thing you wish you could change or have done differently?
“I wish that I was a little more relaxed and a little more social.”
