In this article, we invite you to explore the impressive roster of GC’s newest faculty and staff members. Building on the last edition, we take a look at the profiles of new faculty/staff members who bring diverse expertise and experiences to our community.
Mrs. Walker – Teacher – English, Campus Ministry
Mrs. Walker loves teaching English at Good Counsel, working with her colleagues, going to Good Counsel athletic events, participating in Spirit Week and attending weekly Mass. Furthermore, she also coaches her daughters’ soccer teams, enjoys reading books, and crocheting. Lastly, Mrs. Walkers loves to teach her students and is excited to experience even more GC traditions in the coming months: “Most of all, I love my classes and the students I get to teach each day. They bring me so much joy! I can’t wait for the upcoming months when I get to experience even more of GC like the arts, retreats, and school traditions” – Mrs. Walker.
Mrs. Smith – College Counselor – Counseling
Mrs. Smith works as a College Counselor at Good Counsel assisting students in their college admissions process. She looks forward to continuing to make a difference at Good Counsel and continuing to work with students.
Mr. Bullock – Teacher – Social Studies
Prior to teaching at Good Counsel Mr. Bullock taught at an international school in Columbia, South America and has also lived in New Orleans. Mr. Bullock “taught English Language Learners who were recent arrivals to the United States”-Mr. Bullock. Additionally, Mr. Bullock speaks Spanish and is currently learning French.
Ms. Islam ’19 – Teacher – Computer Studies
As a Good counsel alumna Ms. Islam “was excited to return as a faculty member and give back to the school that shaped me” –Ms. Islam. As a computer studies teacher, she enjoys teaching gaming history, introducing students to new technologies, and watching their creativity flourish as they create websites.
Ms. Suri – Teacher – Math
Prior to working at Good Counsel, Ms. Suri taught in Howard County Public Schools for ten years teaching math and engineering, and as a Management Consultant specializing in plant engineering, quality and supply chain management. In her free time she enjoys traveling to visit her children in NYC, Denver, DC, and Miami, she also enjoys practicing yoga.
Mr. Meile “12 – Teacher – Computer Studies
As a graduate of the class of 2012, Mr. Meile looks forward to returning to GC to be a role model and guide for students. Prior to working as a teacher, Mr. Meile performed in dance companies, worked as a bartender, and sold real estate. He loves teaching his students, playing sports, video games, going to concerts, composing music and playing Careless Whispers.
