Varsity Field Hockey finished the season with a record of 7-11-1 and 3-5 in WCAC play. The Falcons were nationally ranked #533, in the state of Maryland were ranked #34, and in the Washington DC Metro area were ranked #43. The Falcons also finished off the season with 46 goals ( 2.6 goals per game), 31 assists (1.7 assists per game), 5.5 points per game, and 128 saves. The Falcons had six seniors, including Lucy Beucher, Ava Grandi, Isabella Gutierrez, Nichole Oneto, Meliha Potur, and Daniela Serrano, with two managers, Jackson Manning and Isabelle Magyar. The Falcons also had two First Team All WCAC (Lucy Beucher and Daniela Serrano), three Second Team All WCAC (Josie Hutchcroft, Katerina Patrikis, and Sydney Smole), and three Honorable Mentions (Amanda Dow, Ava Grandi, and Sarah Howes). The “Ignite The Fire Award” is an award in recognition of the Student-Athlete whose energy creates the spark and pace to the game. This award is in honor of Kayla Rieu ‘19. This award was awarded to juniors Josie Hutchcroft and Sarah Howes. The “Ripple Effect Award” is an award given to the Student-Athlete who had a positive rippling effect on the program. The “Ignite The Fire Award” award is given in honor of Riley Norris ‘22, Campbell Reid ‘22, Luciana Wolcott ‘22, and Tarrah Welch ‘22. This award was given to Senior Isabella Gutierrez and Junior Grace Worch. The “All-In Award” is an award in recognition of the Student-Athlete who has given themselves the most to the program, on and off the field. This award is given in honor of Amanda Evans ‘19. The “All-In Award” was given to Ava Grandi. And finally, the “Offensive Most Valuable Player” goes to Daniela Serrano and the “Defensive Most Valuable Player” goes to Lucy Beucher.
