What many GC students anticipate most about a new school year are the many club choices and extracurricular activities offered. The Club Fair is an opportunity to get information and sign up for clubs. For those that are new to GC, here is a general overview of how students can find clubs that interest them and get involved.
How to find clubs that interest you?
- Check the Daily Bulletin from Mrs. Hanson and look under the club information section.
- Pay attention to the posters hanging around the school building, as clubs often hang posters to recruit new members.
- Attend the Club Fair, which was held on October 10 and 11 this year.
- Always reach out to others at school, whether friends or teachers, to ask for their advice and recommendations.
What is the Club Fair?
- The Club Fair is where each club sets up a table with their featured pictures or descriptions shown and gives a brief introduction about their clubs to potential members during lunch time in the Gallery. It is a great opportunity for students to get to know about different clubs at GC and discover clubs that match their hobbies. Students could also sign up for clubs’ email lists.
When and where to sign up for clubs?
- Students could join anytime; there is no deadline for signing up. Just show up to a club meeting, contact the club leaders, or contact the club moderators for more specific information and signing up.

Students’ opinions on the Club Fair this year:
“It’s cool getting to walk around to see all the different clubs and how unique they are,” Haley Hutchcroft ‘26 said. “The club fair is definitely a 10 out of 10!” Jude Buber ‘27 told Talon excitedly. “The organizers and leaders of the clubs did well this year too,” he added. “It gives clubs an opportunity for people to recognize them. All clubs’ cardboards are creative and eye-catching, especially the art club,” Maya Landis ‘26, the leader of the Art with Intent Club, joked. Additionally, the interviewees mentioned how the Club Fair is effective in getting people aware of clubs that they didn’t know before and recruiting new members.
Joining clubs is about meeting new people who share the same interests as you. It also offers students an opportunity to try activities that they might otherwise rarely come across with and be enriched with fun knowledge that cannot be obtained through textbooks, so don’t hesitate to join.
