A Look Back to One of Our Girls’ Lacrosse Highlights

It was a great, sunny day for the lacrosse playoffs and the atmosphere was highly charged with anticipation. Only one team that stepped on the field would advance to the semi-finals. On Tuesday, our women’s lacrosse team put on a great clinic against Elizabeth Seton. Within a few minutes, we gave ourselves a comfortable five-goal lead over the Roadrunners.

Here, the girls are checked in, ready to compete against this Seton squad. The Falcons were excited as ever and prepared to go.

Seton began to lose organization early, and Good Counsel took significant advantage of that. Although Seton had sparks of attack, their efforts were outmatched by our offense.

Our defensive work off the ball was vital to deny Seton’s attack. This defense opened up our offense to run down the Seton defense throughout the game.

Not too far into the game the mercy rule was activated and Seton’s hopes dwindled as goals from Good Counsel kept coming through.

This game gave the Falcons massive amounts of momentum heading into the semifinals against Holy Cross.

Final Score

Good Counsel: 17

Seton: 3
