On February 24th, the OLGCHS Poms Team competed at Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, MD. They competed using two Division One dance routines. One was a lyrical, prop routine incorporating rope into the dance, shown below. The other was a regular routine using poms, featuring a variety of songs. The ladies were awarded 1st place for their prop routine and came in 2nd for their Pom routine, losing to Flowers High School. Captain Kayla Knolmayer ‘18 won a 1st place captain’s award. It was truly an amazing and moving performance. Great job ladies!

The Team wore orange bows (pictured above) in honor of Jamie Guttenburg, a dancer and victim of the recent Parkland Shooting. She will forever live in our hearts.
