On January 20th and 21st of 2018, Loyola University hosted the 82nd National Catholic Swimming and Diving Championship. Schools from up and down the East Coast participated.  Pennsylvania’s Malvern Prep competed against local schools like Gonzaga. Good Counsel’s Boys team ranked 7th of 18 teams at the meet. Honorable mentions included Ryan Vipavetz, who finished in 2nd place in the 200-yard freestyle and Gabriel Laracuente, who finished 4th in the 200-yard IM. Good Counsel’s girls achieved 4th place out of 20 teams. Audrey Tirrell received 3rd place in the 500-yard freestyle, Maddie Reese received a 2nd place in diving, and Taylor McLaughlin received an 8th place in diving. Our swimming Falcons represented the school well and everyone should be immensely proud of them!
